Sophie Turner in Puppy Love on the Bunny Slopes

The Queen of the North is living up to her name. On Monday, Sophie Turner shared a carousel of photos on Instagram of her and some friends—including her new boyfriend—at a wintry ski resort that many of us will never be in a tax bracket high enough to enjoy. It looked fun. Good for her.

It’s the first time Turner has shared boyfriend Peregrine Pearson to the grid—aka making him “Instagram official”—since they’ve been rumored to be together and since her divorce from Joe Jonas in the fall. Of the photos she shared with Pearson in them, he’s in a group with Sophie’s other friends, and his face is mostly covered by gigantic reflective ski goggles. All in all, it’s a pretty underwhelming development, which I actually sort of respect. Keep us nosy fans guessing, Sophie.

The couple has been papped snogging in Paris and London (chic!), but for the most part, little is known about the man whose name sort of reminds me of a shoe brand for some reason. Pearson is a British aristocrat and heads a property development company. I imagine that’s a perfectly dull follow-up after being married to the middle child of a traveling brothers’ boy band.

Speaking of, Joe also recently hit the slopes with his new beau, Stormi Bree, although their romance has yet to make it to the gram. I imagine when and if it ever does, though, they won’t receive the inane backlash Sophie received for daring to post photos of herself having fun without her children. The number of comments asking “Where are your kids?” or pointedly stating they haven’t seen her with her kids in ages is going to make my brain explode. They aren’t with her on her romantic and fun getaway with her friends and hot fancy boyfriend. It is that simple! Sorry, she isn’t bringing her toddler and one-and-a-half-year-old skiing with her!

Sophie and Joe reached an “amicable resolution” to their custody battle and the last we heard, are alternating custody of the two kids every two weeks or so. Seems like the perfect arrangement for each parent to have ample time to make out with their new, respective lovers at a ski lodge.
