Survived by his wife Linda and four children Alex, Sarah, Rosa and Jack, the family collectively released a statement, according to USA Today, saying: “We are devastated by the loss of our beloved Bob.”
The actor was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2012, when he retired from acting, and died on Wednesday in a hospital after fighting pneumonia.
In addition to Roger Rabbit, Hoskins conquered a diverse bevy of roles in numerous films including Pink Floyd The Wall, Mona Lisa, Hook and the British gangster classic, The Long Good Friday.
