It’s really hard to not feel sympathetic toward Teen Mom star Farrah Abraham after witnessing her mother’s appearance on Couples Therapy, during which she explained that she was supportive of her daughter’s teen pregnancy, despite calling her a whore and forbidding her from getting the abortion she wanted. Suddenly, Farrah’s disconnect with reality makes a lot more sense.
No matter where a person stands on the issue of abortion, it’s undeniable that the way Farrah’s mom reacted to the news of her pregnancy was a pivotal moment—both emotionally and practically—in her life. It set in motion a chain of events for Farrah’s self-exploitation which, at this point, have landed her working in pornography.
