First Sperm Grown Outside The Body

Latest

Japanese scientists have successfully extracted cells from the testes of newborn mice and cultivated sperm in the lab. When combined with eggs, the sperm created healthy embryos that were implanted into females and grew into mice capable of reproducing. This process may be able to help treat infertility in men, and could help boys with cancer by growing sperm cells to be frozen before radiation treatments.
