It’s Anne Hathaway’s Year

This year, Hathaway not only has four major motion pictures hitting theaters but also, as of Friday, announced she is pregnant. Congrats! Way to show us all up.

It’s Anne Hathaway’s Year

If you thought you had a productive year, Anne Hathaway is politely giggling in your face (because she’s not going to outright laugh. She’s too classy!) This year, Hathaway not only has four major motion pictures hitting theaters but also, as of Friday, announced she is pregnant. Congrats! Way to show us all up. 

On Friday, Hathaway was caught showing off her baby bump while on vacation with her family in Saint Tropez, and later shared the news on Instagram with a video set to “Baby, I’m Yours” by Barbara Lewis. This firehorse baby will be Hathaway’s third child with husband Adam Shulman, with whom she shares two sons, Jonathan, 10, and Jack, 6. (And props to Hathaway for picking normal names for her children. She’s pure class).

This also means she was pregnant during all those red carpets she slayed for The Devil Wears Prada 2 premieres. What can’t she do? But more importantly, when will she rest? I am worried about her. It seems like every time I look up from my screen time-induced trance, she is starring in a new movie. As of now, Hathaway’s 2026 slate of films is: The Devil Wears Prada 2, The Odyssey, Verity, and The End of Oak Street. And if that doesn’t already sound tiring enough, now she is choosing to do the hardest thing a human can possibly attempt: raise three children. At least she is finally on vacation for some much-deserved rest, but someone should make sure she doesn’t sneak off to film a cameo for The White Lotus.

“This year in particular was unusual,” Hathaway told People back in April (…hinting at the pregnancy, perhaps?) “[Shulman] and I both know that it’s probably never going to happen like this again. And the way he stepped up, I mean, in every possible way, he’s the most extraordinary person I’ve ever met.”

Congratulations, Anne, on baby no. 3, and thank you to Twitter user @Buzzing Pop for pointing out that Hathaway, Aubrey Plaza, and Elizabeth Olsen are all pregnant at the same time.
