Ladies in Red, Print and Sheer Converge at Elle's Women in TV Event

BeautyStyle

Elle held its annual Women in Television event, a gala for gals, on Tuesday in West Hollywood, in honor of all the great women who make television a better, less dickish place. There were florals, there were cut-outs, and this is Lena Dunham wearing something Lena Dunham would wear. More women we love below.

How to get away with looking flawless, right? Queen of TV and my life Shonda Rhimes wore this flirty fit like a boss. Not quite a power dress, but I dig it.

It seems as if Angie Harmon, Yara Shahidi (adorable child from Black-ish) and Juliette Lewis coordinated outfits. It worked out gloriously, much better than when my friends and I do it.

Bella Thorne kept it simple and nude in what I call invisible sexy, while Jaime King wore a deep V-ish neck with panels that looks like an outfit for a space bash? Kate Walsh‘s boobs are looking smashed.

Is Brittany Snow‘s dress vanishing? My stylist (my stylist) would’ve had to force me into this weird two-piece that Gillian Jacobs has on…but the more I look at it the less it hurts, so maybe it works. Keke Palmer is wearing what I used to call a sophisticated club outfit, two dresses in one.

Die, Quinn. Here’s Katie Lowes and Julie Bowen.

Busy Phillips, why? Regina King pulls off the geometric mini, and Sasha Alexander‘s dress isn’t bad except for the weird shoulder area.

This jumpsuit on Caitriona Balfe is perfect, but Castle‘s Stana Katic looks Lady Liberty-esque. Tracee Ellis Ross, stay exactly the way you are, you fox.

Not feeling the neckline or the hem on Dascha Polanco‘s draped gown. Less risky: Emmanuelle Chriqui, Erin Richards and Maura Tierney all went for safe black.

Ellie Kemper and Laura Carmichael impress, but Sia takes the cake with this puddled coat (where can we get this, Julianne please advise). The whole outfit/look is very Sia.

This starry night dress is a win for Whitney Cummings; it’s cute, slightly weird and unexpected and I’d wear it.

Jenna Elfman’s gown is flowy and yet too buttoned up. Oof at that river pattern down the middle of Kat Graham‘s dress. Katie Lowes, you’re fun and frivolous. Die, Quinn.
