Do not ask Nic Cage for an autograph when Vince Neil is around.
The Mötley Crüe frontman grabbed a woman by the hair, and threw her to the ground at the Aria Hotel in Las Vegas after she approached Cage. Cage fought Neil off, then tried to calm him down. The video is just the tail end of the scuffle, and lord help me, I laughed uncomfortably watching it. Cage just looks like he thinks he’s in an actual movie as he takes a stand against the obliterated Neil, then tenderly cradles him.
Vince Neil is now very deservedly under criminal investigation. He was cited for battery, but not taken into the station, which is f*cked. LAistreports that he has a long history of violence:
Neil has had quite a few run-ins with the law. In 2002, he was arrested after punching a record producer at the Rainbow Bar & Grill in West Hollywood. In 2003, he was arrested for assaulting a sex worker at a brothel. In 2004, he was accused of assaulting a sound engineer at a show in Texas. In 2011, Neil was charged with battery and disorderly conduct after allegedly getting into a fight with his ex-girlfriend. This is on top of a couple of recent DUI arrests. And let’s not forget he also got into a car crash in 1984 in Redondo Beach that killed one of his passengers, 24-year-old Hanoi Rocks drummer Nicholas Dingley. Neil’s BAC at that time was 0.17.
