Sarah Palin Isn't Running For President
LatestSarah Palin announced this afternoon that she won’t be seeking the Republican nomination for president, thus saving herself the trouble of dropping out of the race six months from now. This afternoon on Mark Levin’s radio show, Palin claimed once again that she can do more good by remaining outside the political system (and continuing to collect a hefty Fox News paycheck). “Not being a candidate, you are unshackled and able to be even more active,” she explained. “I look forward to using all the tools at my disposal to get the right people in there who have a servant’s heart.”
Later in an email to supporters, she added:
“As always, my family comes first and obviously Todd and I put great consideration into family life before making this decision. When we serve, we devote ourselves to God, family and country. My decision maintains this order.”
Her announcement comes just one day after Chris Christie said he won’t be joining the race. This is sad news for Republicans, who will now have to choose among the chuckleheads who are already running, whom they aren’t all that fond of.
