See Greta Gerwig, Lola Kirke In an Exclusive Clip From Mistress America

Entertainment

Noah Baumbach and his new muse*, Greta Gerwig, have written a movie called Mistress America. This is the second film the two have created together (the first was 2012’s wonderful Frances Ha), and it seems like a much lighter, more straightforward comedy. Gerwig and Baumbach have a great ear for memorable dialogue, and we have an ~exclusive~ clip that proves it. Isn’t that fun?

Here’s the film’s official synopsis:

In Mistress America, Tracy (Lola Kirke) is a lonely college freshman in New York, having neither the exciting university experience nor the glamorous metropolitan lifestyle she envisioned. But when she is taken in by her soon-to-be stepsister, Brooke (Greta Gerwig) – a resident of Times Square and adventurous gal about town – she is rescued from her disappointment and seduced by Brooke’s alluringly mad schemes.

Yes. I will see this.

*Or is Noah Baumbach Greta Gerwig’s muse? I’m just not sure.
