Sharron Angle's Bigotry May Well Pass Go

Sharron Angle may not be talking to journalists, but she’s got jokes. In the past day, she’s sent Joy Behar flowers to thank Behar for calling her a bitch and launched a Monopoly-inspired game to mock Harry Reid on immigration.

Behar had said of Angle’s racist campaign ads, “I’d like to see her do this ad in the South Bronx. Come here, bitch. Come to New York and do it. I’m not praying for her. She’s going to hell. She’s going to hell, this bitch.” Angle raised $150,000 on it and sent Behar flowers and a note, which Behar read on the air yesterday.

“I don’t know if it’s a sense of humor, but I’d like to point out those flowers were picked by illegal immigrants,” said Behar. “And they aren’t voting for you, bitch.”

Unfortunately, they aren’t voting for anyone, at least not with our current broken immigration system. And Angle is still betting that Latino citizens don’t matter as much as the racist vote. She showed just how committed she is to that constituency when she released a Monopoly-themed website that is “fun for the whole illegal family.

It calls out Harry Reid for his sponsorship of the DREAM Act, which would allow college students who were brought to the country illegally as children to pay in-state tuition fees at public universities. But if you roll the dice, you see cards like this:

Clearly the way to forestall involvement in the drug trade is to… deny qualified young people access to education.

The worst part is that it appears to be paying off: according to Five Thirty-Eight’s model, Angle, “for the first time since the spring, has better than a three-in-four chance to win her race against Harry Reid.” The terrifying prospect of a Senator Angle is getting more likely every day.
