So at first I thought this song, “Stroker Ace” by Lovage was about that ridiculous 1983 NASCAR-themed Burt Reynolds film of the same name (the one for which the Charlie Daniels Band basically rewrote “The Devil Goes Down To Georgia” but replaced the fiddling theme with a racing one). ANYWAY it did not take me long to realize that was definitely not the case. Then I thought it was a first person narrative about a cat and I was, ummmm, less wrong.
