Here’s little bit of cheerful, charming news out of Colorado: A bunch of SWAT team members took the time to suit up in superhero costumes and rappel down the side of the local children’s hospital, as a treat for the sick kids.
NBC 9 News was there, cameras in hand. Volunteers from the Aurora police department’s SWAT team dressed as Batman, Spider-Man and other characters for the event. The idea came from Hallie Westell, a local cancer survivor who wanted to do something nice for the kids and appealed to the Facebook group The Bucket List Life for help. I particularly appreciate the dude (dressed as Robin) who swung over to offer high-fives through the glass window. Good job, guys:
