Taylor and Travis Put Their “Off the Grid” Honeymoon on Hold

Swifties fiending for more new Taylor/Travis wedding news are going to have to wait a bit longer. According to TMZ, the pair will be engaging in another time-honored millennial wedding tradition: not going on their honeymoon right away. Instead, the newlyweds are reportedly set to attend New York Giants wide receiver Juju Smith-Schuster’s wedding to Laura Kruk on July 11th in Orange County, Calif. Maybe they need to financially recover from the Madison Square Garden rental fee before heading out on a big vacation? (Word to the wise: put it all on a 0% APR credit card and pay it off over time—you’re welcome, Taylor!) 

Despite a flood of old and/or AI-generated images claiming Tay and Trav are in the Bahamas right now, the couple reportedly has “no plans” to try to squeeze a honeymoon in before they head out to California. So the natural next question is…will they embark on their honeymoon immediately after wedding #2? Probably not. 

Travis is expected back in Kansas City for Chiefs training camp on July 29th, and the NFL season is set to kick off September 9th. Sure, they could technically get a honeymoon in during the two weeks between Juju and Laura’s wedding, but who the hell wants to travel the world with someone who has to “watch their macros” or whatever it is football players do to prep for training? 

And sure, a two-week vacation may seem like a lot to us peasants, but it’s practically nothing to someone for whom “PTO” is a vague concept they’ve mostly heard about in movies. It’s also hardly enough time to fit in the lavish “trip of a lifetime” the pair has been planning all year, according to a report in The Sun back in March. 

Rumor has it the duo is planning to embark on a totally “off the grid” world tour, with stops in the Caribbean, Europe, and Asia. Insiders told The Sun that their planned journey will begin in the Bahamas and eventually take them to Lake Como, Paris, the French Riviera, Greece, and Croatia (the Kelces’ ancestral homeland). Next, they’ll fly east to hit up Singapore and Australia.

Unless, of course, they don’t. That same article in The Sun also claimed the nuptials would cost $1.2 million and take place at Taylor’s estate in Rhode Island, so it seems that, just like with the wedding itself, we won’t actually know what’s up with the honeymoon until it happens. 

Bon voyage to the happy couple, wherever they end up going! And congrats to Taylor’s cat sitter. You have a fat check in your future.
