Teresa Heinz Kerry Released from Hospital, Should Be Okay

Latest

Good news for Secretary of State John Kerry and condiment fans across the world: Teresa Heinz Kerry was discharged from a Boston hospital on Saturday, a little less than three weeks after suffering a seizure at her Nantucket home on July 7. The 74-year-old Kerry is expected to make a full recovery after the frightening incident, although, according to previous statements from outpatient spokesman Glen Johnson, doctors had not yet determined the cause of the seizure.

In a statement following his wife’s release, John Kerry praised the “quality care” Teresa received, as well as the State Department Diplomatic Service members who responded at the first sign of trouble. Though the cause of the seizure hasn’t been determined, doctors have rule out more serious underlying ailments such as brain tumor, heart attack, or stroke. Following some additional outpatient treatment, Teresa Heinz Kerry is expected to make a full recovery.
