If you Google “Demi Moore Tobey Maguire Dating 2002″ you’ll be reminded of the easily forgettable moment some 14 years ago when the two were said to be “in love.” In a gossip report from late that year, The Chicago Tribune wrote:
RUMOR HAS IT … Tobey Maguire and Demi Moore are in love (she’s 13 years his senior), Mariah Carey and Vin Diesel are dating, and Harrison Ford is engaged to Calista Flockhart, at least according to the World Entertainment News Network, which tracks celebrity pairings.
Now that you’re finished laughing at the reminder of Vin and Mariah’s brief romance and saying, “Huh!” at the realization that Ford and Flockhart have been together for so long, let me reveal the “shocking” news that Maguire and Moore have REKINDLED their romance now that both of them are single again.
A source tells Radar Online:
“Demi reached out to Tobey a couple weeks ago, and it didn’t take long for things to heat up. At first it was all pretty tame, but then Demi started reminiscing about all the good times they used to have and it just went on from there.”
Ah, yes. The glory days of 2002. Tobey Maguire was the only Spider-Man, Demi Moore was about to be the villain in Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle, and I was covered in acne and singing along to “Hands Clean” during the VH1 video countdown.
