A Girl Power Vibe Dominated Oprah's "Farewell Spectacular"

Between Beyoncé’s high-energy performance of “Run the World (Girls),” Madonna’s declaration that she’s not going to give up on educating girls in Malawi despite the troubles she’s encountered, and a group of little girls listing the ways that Oprah has changed their lives, part one of Oprah’s big “Farewell Spectacular” had an undeniable feminist vibe to it.

And I don’t know if it’s just because I’m a hormonal pregnant woman, but hearing little girls say that they love to read, started to heal from abuse, and learned to love themselves with the help of Oprah made me cry.
