(As are we!) “This award is so much bigger than myself. It represents a culture that wants to see themselves as heroes,” Rodriguez said through tears while accepting her award. “My dad used to tell me, ‘Today’s a great day, you can and you will,'” she said. “Well, dad, today’s a great day, and I can and I did!”
