Amber Ruffin Invites White People to 'Join the Fun' on Seth Meyers

After taking the guest seat, Ruffin says, “I have a special message to all of the white Hillary supporters who are feeling disappointed in their fellow Americans today. Join the fun!”

She continues, “That feeling you’re feeling right now, black people have been feeling that way, forever! Right now you’re wondering how you’re going to get along with all your friends who voted for Trump. This is how black people feel all the time. Join the fun!”

“Stop calling it fun, what you’re describing is not fun,” Meyers insists, and Ruffin explains:

Well, not at first it’s not. the thought of someone believing you deserve fewer rights because of who you are is depressing. But then you realize that by doing what you do everyday, you prove to them that you are unstoppable. They can spend their time trying to pass laws that take away your rights and silence your voice. But all you have to do is live your life right in their faces, and it proves that you cannot be stopped.

After Seth thanks her for the beautiful words, she adds, “That’s the last beautiful thing you’ll hear before we all die!”
