- To rebuff its unwelcome suitor, Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy, the family that owns a majority stake in Hermès wants to create an unlisted holding company that controls “more than 50%” of the business. Minority shareholders apart from LVMH — which surprised everyone by buying up over 17% of Hermès without disclosing its holdings — are upset, and the plan awaits the approval of French regulators.
