Angelina Jolie Threatens Perez Hilton With Lawsuit Over Coverage Of Divorce

CelebritiesDirt Bag

The divorce of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt is threatening to swallow all of Hollywood whole. Equilibrium may never be reestablished, so violently has it been disturbed. The person most recently affected? None other than celebrity gossip blogger Perez Hilton. Jolie is threatening to sue him for his coverage of the divorce, and he is not having it.

Hilton has been faithful in his coverage of the split, and some of it seems to have rubbed Jolie the wrong way. Her lawyers, Bert Fields and Priya Sapori, have contacted Hilton to ask that he modify one of his articles. He has no intention of doing so, and posted a screengrab of his response to Instagram. The caption to the photo reads as follows:

In other news, #AngelinaJolie’s lawyers at Greenberg Glusker have just threatened to sue me for my coverage of her split from #BradPitt. ME!! I have always been one of Angelia Jolie’s loudest and strongest supporters and defenders!!!!! This was my email back to Angelina’s lawyers, #BertFields and #PriyaSapori. Glad I’m not running for president!!

The thrust of the email, which you can clearly see above, is “fuck you very much.” In fact, Hilton essentially says as much, signing off with an especially…charged…dismissal.

“Please get this message to Angelina Jolie herself.
She KNOWS…
I have ALWAYS been a huge fan and SUPPORTER of hers!!
I am livid!!!
Unless she wants to turn me into an enemy, I want an apology right now.
I am not changing anything.
If you want to sue me, my lawyer is Bryan Freedman and he is CC’d.
I did nothing illegal. We stand 100% behind our reporting.
Fuck YOU. And suck my dick!

Yowza.

Shailene Woodley was arrested today in Sioux County, North Dakota for two misdemeanors: criminal trespass and engaging in a riot. She was gathered with a crowd of roughly 100 people to peacefully protest the Dakota Access Pipeline.

The protest was planned after a Federal appeals court denied a request to stop pipeline construction across sacred Standing Rock Sioux land and burial grounds. Woodley has been vocal in her condemnation of the pipeline.

From what Woodley says in the video below, it seems that, at first, she was the only one arrested — perhaps because her presence drew media attention (she was also posting to Facebook Live). She argues that she has behaved no differently from any of the other activists and that she had vacated the premises upon being told to do so. The cops refuse to supply her with a response as to why she is being apprehended, and she is finally led away in handcuffs. In total, 27 protestors were arrested today.
