Another Person to ‘Likely’ Testify Against Justin Baldoni in ‘It Ends With Us’ Trial

Well, it just keeps getting worse for Justin Baldoni…

On Tuesday, People reported that a second accuser will likely testify against the actor and director in the forthcoming It Ends With Us trial. Come March 9, 2026, an unknown person may take the stand with claims in accordance with Blake Lively’s accusations that Baldoni created a hostile work environment on the set of the 2024 romantic drama.

In a sworn declaration obtained by the magazine, an individual whose name has been redacted said they “had repeated, negative interactions with Mr. Baldoni and his associates, including verbal abuse by Mr. Baldoni.” A source told People that the individual could very well testify in Lively v. Wayfarer Studios et al. Ope!

According to the source, the individual worked with Baldoni on a project that wasn’t It Ends with Us and, from the sounds of it, didn’t go well. In the redacted document, the individual “requested that he [Baldoni] not be involved” in said unnamed project’s marketing or PR. They also cite a meeting with Steve Sarowitz, the co-founder and co-chairman of Baldoni’s production company, Wayfarer Studios. The individual’s accusations seem similar to those being bandied about between Lively and Baldoni.

In her 2024 lawsuit, Lively alleged that Baldoni (including his associates like Wayfarer CEO Jamey Heath) had not only acted inappropriately during the production of It Ends With Us, but also participated in the orchestration of a smear campaign against her along with publicists, Melissa Nathan and Jennifer Abel. He, on the other hand, claimed that Lively deliberately excluded him from the film’s press cycle.

The declaration arrives the same week Lively’s team filed a motion arguing that she shouldn’t be liable for the multiple millions of dollars needed to cover her attorneys’ fees and costs in defending herself against Baldoni. She has also sought treble damages for “economic, emotional and psychological harms”  in addition to punitive damages for “abuse of the court system,” per Variety. Filed under the Protecting Survivors from Weaponized Defamation Lawsuits Act, signed by Gov. Gavin Newsom in 2023, the motion states that the law “ensures that individuals who experience sexual harassment or retaliation are able to share their experiences with courts, agencies, the press, and others, without fear of being sued for doing so.”

Last month, Lively’s team also filed a motion for sanctions against Baldoni’s attorney, Bryan J. Freedman. In it, the lawyers claim that Freedman and his clients have made a habit of leaking “biased and inflammatory pre-trial indictments of Ms. Lively’s character, credibility, and reputation” and “publicly slandering” the actress. The most recent example of such was, of course, their depositions, which took place in August. In the days that followed, details of the deposition appeared in tabloids like the Daily Mail and TMZ–most notably that Baldoni was present and that Lively attended the deposition with a group of people that included her older sister, Robyn Lively, husband Ryan Reynolds, and eight attorneys.

Attorneys for Baldoni have yet to comment on the individual’s filing.
