Azealia Banks Kind of Apologized For The Wrong Thing After Punjabi-Canadian YouTuber Jus Reign Criticized Her

Latest

Azealia Banks reminded us all she was here yesterday by getting into it with Zayn Malik on Twitter. Like many stories involving Banks, it’s become confusing as hell and made me think about playing 212.

So many players in this drama. First, Banks insinuated on Instagram that Malik stole a lot of his looks for his new video from her. When Malik seemed to be vague-tweeting about someone, Banks was so vain and thought that tweet was about her.

Punjabi-Canadian YouTube personality Jus Reign, real name Jasmeet Singh, decided to address her weird and ugly insults on his own timeline.

Soon after, the hashtag #curryscentedbitch took off, because people will take any excuse to post a selfie where they look fantastic. My excuse is usually three glasses of wine and wearing a lace bra.

All these ladies sure as hell look fantastic:

Like most Twitter campaigns, the message is a little blurry, but I think it is essentially that South Asian people are beautiful and fuck you, Banks.

Message received!

Jus Reign didn’t let up, and managed to find every use Azealia Banks has made of his culture for a screenshot:

He also got charmingly psyched about the response:

In an uncharacteristic display of self-reflection, Banks kind of, sort of apologized. Most of the following text conversation with herself is actually directed at Disney star Skai Jackson. Yes, Banks also found time to get into a fight with a 14-year-old in the last 24 hours.

Is it an apology if you use the word “thot?” Asking for a thot. Here’s a glimpse into some of what went on between Jackson and the 24-year-old Banks:

This lady blows my damn mind. Sometimes I agree with her harsh and raw perspective on racism in America, and then stuff like this happens and it feels like I’m looking into a funhouse mirror.

Most of Banks’ tweets are now unavailable, but following her apology there is this:

Yes. Yes, don’t lower yourself anymore, please. 212 is such a good song.
