If only we could all go back eight years and have a serious sit down conversation with ourselves about the choices we’ve made that have lead us to the current election.
On the other hand, maybe things haven’t changed as much as we think. In this clip put together by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, two interviews spliced together demonstrates two things: first, what we, as a nation, have done to our president, and, second, that the media is exactly the same as ever. The Obama of 2009 says, “The easiest way to get on television right now is to be really rude.”
That may be as close as the Fallon’s writing staff gets to shading Donald Trump these days, but immediately after that comment 2016 Obama advises his past self to use Purell. If only we could. If only we could.
