Bill Cosby Had a 'Wonderful Time' Doing Stand-Up in Ontario Last Night
LatestThe same day three new women accused him of sexual assault, Bill Cosby reportedly had a fantastic time performing stand-up comedy at a theater in Kitchener, Ontario in a winter hat and a sweater that read, “HELLO FRIEND.” Hello friend indeed!
As the Associated Press reports, despite protests outside (or perhaps because of them), Cosby started off his set by saying “First of all thank you,” to the mostly-full theater. At the end of the performance he reportedly said he had “wonderful time,” before receiving a standing ovation.
Afterwards, Cosby’s publicist released this statement on his behalf:
“Dear Fans: I would like to personally thank you for giving me the opportunity to bring laughter back into your lives tonight. Also, I would like to applaud all of you and give you a standing ovation for respecting yourselves, the theatre (Centre In The Square) and the event organizers that produced a spectacular show for the Kitchener Community”
Despite the great time had by all inside the theater, protestors outside carried signs and shouted before the show began. Security was apparently tight.
