When Billy Ray Cyrus filed for divorce on October 27, it was allegedly because he found out that his wife, Miley’s mom Tish, had an affair with Bret Michaels. Talk about an achy-breaky heart.
According to Us Weekly, Bret became “close to the entire family” in February when he and Miley released the racy duet “Nothing to Lose.” That track has lyrics like “tonight in the darkness there’s nothing to lose/We both know better than this, still we can’t resist/Slowly get undressed” and “If I fall for you, could you fall for me?” At the time, since Bret was singing with Miley, we thought it was just creepy and inappropriate. But since he was apparently schtupping her mom, if you imagine him singing to Tish, those words make sense! Although still creepy and inappropriate. Plus it’s just crazy he would sing them with Tish’s daughter. Gah.
(Just to keep things interesting, later in the summer, Miley released a cover of Bret’s song, “Every Rose Has Its Thorn.”)
Us states:
Though a rep for Michaels refutes the allegations, telling Us Weekly, “There has never been an affair or a fling,” and a rep for Tish also denies the dalliance, the Cyrus source insists, “It was a professional relationship that turned into something more.”
