C-List Celebs Are Trying Their Absolute Hardest to Sell Us These Awful Sunglasses
LatestFrom the most obscure fashion “influencer” to Kim Kardashian herself, celebrities of all backgrounds have established a rich tradition of hawking bullshit products on Instagram. But rarely do they look this dumb while doing it.
Diff Charitable Eyewear is a sunglasses company founded by two bros named Zachary and Chad. The sunglasses are affordable (around $50) and, according to the website, they have partnerships with multiple charitable organizations based vaguely in the large continent of Africa. The main deal is that for every pair of sunglasses sold, they donate a pair of reading glasses to a small organization called Eyes on Africa. Whether celebs are lured in by the charitable message or that sweet sponsorship cash, they are modeling these shades with crazed abandon—despite the fact that they are devastatingly unflattering.
The stars of the Bachelor franchise are probably Diff’s most active and enthusiastic salespeople, which makes sense, because Instagram is almost always where their “journey” ends up. Here’s former Bachelorette JoJo Fletcher—who has her own line of “Live Loud” Diff sunglasses—and Bachelor runner-up Becca Tilley looking like a pair of tanned beach aliens:
Here’s JoJo again, staring pensively through what could almost be classified as ski goggles:
Squeaky-voiced Amanda Stanton and Emily Ferguson, both featured on this season of Bachelor in Paradise, are seen here modeling some very large and colorful aviators:
Here’s Emily again, whose sunglasses do not look quite right despite considerable airbrushing:
Sobbing goddess Ashley Iaconetti, posing here with our new Bachelor Nick Viall, is almost pulling these off! Almost.
Lauren Himle, who competed on Ben’s season of The Bachelor, provides us with an astonishing close-up peek at the product:
And guys, you had better belief that Sean and Catherine Lowe are going to get in on this racket:
