Just a quick update on 2017’s most compelling drama involving four women, one big city and a whole lot of cosmopolitans: Cyntha Nixon and Sarah Jessica Parker are still friends. That’s all! Thats the news.
Via People comes the news that Parker and Nixon were photographed together at the premiere of Sex and the City creator Michael Patrick King’s new Amazon pilot Love You More.
This news is enough for People to declare that because Parker and Nixon managed to stand next to each other and smile for a blurry photo, fans of the franchise can pick up the shattered pieces of the Manolo Blahnik Christmas ornaments and devotional candles emblazoned with Aiden’s face because hey, at least they have that—the sacred image of two stars that used to be in a show about big dicks and best friends acting as if they are still friends to this very day.
“Seeing the women who portrayed assiduous attorney Miranda and hopelessly romantic writer Carrie smiling together is a welcome sight for fans of the franchise,” People writes, leading me to believe that they’ve combed the country in search of teary-eyed fans to ask about how they’re feeling in the wake of the stunning revelation that the third Sex and the City movie is dead in the freakin’ water. They didn’t, because there is literally NO ONE on this planet who WANTS another one of these movies, and anyone who tells you that they do is lying through their teeth or trying to say stuff to make you angry to the point of screaming “IT’S NOT HAPPENING, PLEASE DROP IT, I’M SO TIRED” at the top of your lungs until your voice goes out and you die insi—excuse me, Kristin Davis? Charlotte York-Goldenblatt? What?
“I’m just grateful. I know my co-stars are grateful as well that we have the fan support, that we have each other, that we love each other,” Davis told E! News at the 2017 Princess Grace Awards Gala.
“Maybe we’ll figure out something to do, I don’t know, it would be great,” the actress added.
Madam, please! Do not encourage this! Let it rest. Let it die. Let it go. Put it to bed.
