[Updated] Carrie Bradshaw Knows Cynthia Nixon* *(and Isn't Afraid to Ask…About Her Gubernatorial Run)
LatestWe know how basically everyone who ever appeared on Sex And The City feels about the ongoing feud between Kim Cattrall and Sarah Jessica Parker; now we need to know how everyone is planning to vote. You’ll be shocked by who is not meeting Miranda on the Brooklyn Bridge.
Page Six reports that Parker has finally commented on Cynthia Nixon’s gubernatorial run, and it’s not quite an announcement of unwavering support. Until now, she has been fairly quiet on the matter, even as Kristin Davis came out firmly in favor of her former cast mate running for office. Hell, Cattrall, too, “supports and respects” her ambitions. But Parker? She finally released a statement, and we can’t help but wonder what’s gonna go down in the voting booth:
Through her spokeswoman, Ina Treciokas, Parker said, “Cynthia has been my friend and colleague since we were little girls. I look forward to talking to her about her New York state gubernatorial bid.”
The goss is that Parker thought there’d be a way to shoot a third SATC movie without Cattrall, but if Nixon is running the state, their comeback is definitely cancelled. But maybe she just doesn’t agree with her policies—there a difference between being someone’s friend and someone’s constituent.
Supposedly, there is also anxiety at HBO that if the girls continue to fraction like this, it will hurt viewership and the franchise overall. Studio executives don’t get it. All this talk of infighting makes me want to re-watch the show more.

Earlier today, Parker posted a full on ringing endorsement of Nixon and even linked to her campaign. She also used this flattering though somewhat low-res screenshot to do it:
Cue credits.
