Wondering where awesomely quirky physicist Daniel Faraday has been over the past few Lost episodes? Well, perhaps he’s stuck here, in 1992, selling the universe some pretty “punk rock” Subarus. Hilarious clip after the jump.

This commercial was actor Jeremy Davies’ big break: after it aired, he began to receive offers for bigger roles in various films. You guys, I love this commercial. Mostly because I am obsessed with Lost and it is kind of awesome to see the Faradayisms going on here. And also because the main premise is “punk rock Subaru” which is now the name for my imaginary band:

Also, how weird is it to see him without a tie?
