Did Donald Trump's Campaign Photoshop the Race of One of Its Apparel Models?

Politics

Donald Trump, a disappointment, managed to rise to the top of the Republican presidential field with a mixture of racism, fascism, and general bigotry. Despite his near-constant hate-mongering, Trump has boasted a good relationship with people of color (“I’ve always had a great relationship with the blacks,” he once said). Then how come he couldn’t find a black woman to model his apparel?

On Thursday, Eric Ming, the digital director for Donna Edwards’ Senate campaign, tweeted the following:

The image on the left is taken from Trump’s apparel store. The one on the right is from the online shop for jcgapparel, a custom printed apparel company.

The Trump campaign has not responded to request for comment.

Update (4:45 p.m.): While the campaign did not respond to Jezebel’s request for comment, it did photoshop a different, slightly lighter model into the same t-shirt.

The collarbone, hair, and arms are different, but body that is inside the shirt (see the right armpit crease and hip) is clearly the same.

Seems like the campaign still can’t get a real model to try on a t-shirt. Sad!
