During a Tuesday evening speech in St. Clairsville, Ohio, unwashed fumigation tent Donald Trump used evocative language to describe what the Trans-Pacific Partnership was literally doing to America.
“The Trans-Pacific Partnership is another disaster, done and pushed by special interests who want to rape our country. Just a continuing rape of our country. That’s what it is, too. It’s a harsh word. It’s a rape of our country.”
It’s an obviously despicable turn of phrase for anyone who has been the victim of sexual assault, faces the constant threat of assault, or has any sympathy for people who do. Luckily for him, Trump has routinely proven that he doesn’t need the support from those people (most people) to continue running a campaign.
