Dua Lipa is Funmaxxing
Somewhere across the globe (maybe in Ibiza), Dua Lipa is there—and she is having a better day than you.

You could be winning the lottery, or winning an Oscar, or having your dream wedding, or sipping rosé on a patio with your dear friends on a perfect 72-degree evening, and still, without a doubt, somewhere across the globe (maybe in Ibiza), Dua Lipa is there—and she is having a better day than you. Not that we needed a reminder that she is the ultimate radical optimist, but she gave us another one!
She recently took a break from vacationing with her fiancé, Callum Turner, to go on yet another vacation, to remind us, yet again, that her life is awesome. Don’t underestimate Ms. Lipa’s ability to have an extremely fun vacation (or holiday, as she says), and she’s now claiming the title of “funmaxxer.”On Wednesday, Lipa posted an Instagram carousel with the caption, “Funmaxxing is an internet slang term describing the practice of intentionally maximizing enjoyment.”
She’s also casually wearing $300,000 worth of Bvlgari in the post, per Page Six, so pretty much humbling every aspect of my existence in a single Instagram dump—thanks, girl! I’m sorry, I can’t always intentionally maximize enjoyment all the time, Dua! It’s a Wednesday!
The photo dump included pics of Lipa and co. yacht-partying, shot-taking, brunching, and did I mention the $300k jewelry? Anyways, based on the photos, there was buzz that this might be Lipa’s bachelorette party: She was with her close friends, there were numerous all-white looks, and Turner was nowhere to be seen. Plus, c’mon, it’s Ibiza.
Lipa and Turner started dating in January 2024, and Lipa confirmed their engagement in June 2025, after sparking engagement rumors when the couple was spotted slow dancing in front of the Eiffel Tower, because of-fucking-course they were, and it seems like but a fortnight ago they were gallivanting through South Africa with the elephants. The moral of the story: We all need to start funmaxxing, ASAP.
