Gabby Giffords Will Sit Down with Diane Sawyer on the Second Anniversary of the Horrific Tucson Shooting

Earlier today, the honchos at ABC announced that Diane Sawyer will interview former Rep. Gabrielle Giffords and husband Mark Kelly on Tuesday, Jan. 8 during World News. The interview will help mark the two-year anniversary since gunman Jared Loughner opened fire in the parking lot of a Tucson supermarket, shooting and severely wounding Giffords in the head and killing six others.

Shortly after the January 2011 shooting, Sawyer sat down with Kelly, and later, in November, was the first to land a television interview with Giffords after the shooting.
