If You’re Not Debuting Your Bump On The Cannes Red Carpet, WTF Are You Doing?
Barbara Palvin announced her pregnancy with husband Dylan Sprouse on the Cannes red carpet in a Cinderella dress a month after Sprouse tackled an intruder at gunpoint to protect her. Soooo, what's your excuse?

If you are planning to announce your pregnancy in the chicest way possible, better to do it on a red carpet, and better yet, on the red carpet at Cannes, the classiest film festival of them all.
On Thursday, Barbara Palvin and Dylan Sprouse attended the Cannes premiere of Asghar Farhadi‘s Histoires Parallèles (Parallel Tales), where Palvin revealed her baby bump in a gown I can only describe as Cinderella–if more than one wish came true that night. Palvin later shared a carousel from the evening on Instagram, including a picture of the sonogram showing the future Palvin-Sprouse baby holding up horns. So their child has a high probability of being a cool indie rock star, research suggests.

The bump was a surprise to all, as just a few weeks ago, the couple attended the premiere of The Devil Wears Prada 2, and nary a whisper or rumor of a bump had been tabloidized. Perhaps because we were distracted by a TMZ story days earlier about Sprouse tackling a trespasser to the ground at gunpoint!?!?!??? Hello?!
In April, TMZ obtained footage from a police scene at the Palvin-Sprouse residence, where Palvin reported an attempted burglary to 911, and Sprouse allegedly confronted the intruder at gunpoint, took him to the ground, and held him down until police arrived at the scene. OK, king! The papa bear instinct is strong in this one.
Days after the incident, the couple attended the premiere, and Sprouse told E! News that they were already laughing about the whole thing, “You’ve got to have levity in life. Thankfully, no one was hurt, and there was no more violence than what happened. So, it’s all okay.” Although I have to admit they did seem shaken. But now that we’ve learned that Palvin was pregnant during the incident, the tense response checks out.
“And we’re just happy to be here to watch the movie,” Palvin added. Again, tensely. Palvin, you have nothing to worry about. You found yourself a king; you’re going to have a rock-star baby, and you’re Cinderella. Congratulations!
