Jenny Slate Is a Funny and Flailing California Raisin in Landline Trailer

If you were a fan of the best abortion romcom of all time, Obvious Child, then you’re probably going to love writer and director Gillian Robespierre’s new movie Landline, which has her reuniting with Jenny Slate.

In the film, Slate and Ali Quinn play sisters in the mid-90s who discover their dad (John Turturro) might be cheating on their mom (played by Edie Falco.) It’s important to note that a floppy disk seems to be involved in this discovery. Here’s the trailer:

This movie has it all: whiskey Mountain Dew drinks, raves, California Raisin Halloween costumes, grunge, Edie Falco demanding respect, and what looks like an aggravating and unrelatable scene in which Slate has to use a pay phone! Exciting!!!
