The television host and Bravo devotee just rightfully called Stamos' comments about his wife, Rebecca Romijn, "a little scary."

We at Jezebel love a C-list feud that involves a Wife Guy™ or two, so when Jerry O’Connell hit back at John Stamos’ weird memoir musings about his wife, Rebecca Romijn (aka Stamos’ ex), my petty little heart skipped a beat.

On Thursday, O’Connell—who’s become something of a Bravo commentator these days—did his best impersonation of a trifling reality TV star and told TMZ how he really felt about Stamos’ reflections on his marriage to Romijn in his book, If You Would Have Told Me.

“People gotta make a living I guess,” O’Connell shadily replied to one of the tabloid’s reporters in New York City when asked about the memoir. “It just happens.” He also remarked that should he ever split with Romijn and write a memoir one day, he’d definitely let her know if she were mentioned—something Stamos, one can glean, didn’t do. Of Stamos’ stories about Romijn, O’Connell called them “a little scary.”

In case you missed the very short-lived discourse about Stamos’ memoir—and, more specifically, Romijn’s role in it—Uncle Jesse didn’t hold much back when recalling their marriage, which lasted from 1998 to 2004. The most brow-raising example? His insinuation that she was unfaithful.

“Betrayal starts as a sinking feeling in your stomach, grows into a suspicion that clouds your every thought, and by the time you find out the truth, it’s uniquely horrible at first but also expected, like you’ve been waiting for something bad to happen,” Stamos cryptically wrote. “There’s nothing more to say.”

Then, in a number of interviews about the book, Stamos continued to speak about Romijn. Of their relationship, he hypothesized to Howard Stern that she “outgrew” him when her acting career began to take off and he focused less on his. In case it wasn’t clear enough, he went on to note that he felt “emasculated” by her success.

“It was very much the opinion that she dumped me because her career was going great and mine wasn’t, and that’s humiliating,” Stamos further lamented to People. “I don’t blame her for it. It was just the perception that people took, and maybe they weren’t wrong. She was doing great at that time and I wasn’t.”

He then told the magazine he was “shattered” for “too long” when their marriage came to an end and blamed her in the bizarrest of ways: “In my mind back then, she was the Devil, and I just hated her. I couldn’t believe how much I hated her, and it ruined my life.”

A little scary, I’d say, is an understatement. No matter though. Romijn is reportedly unbothered, per Page Six: “She doesn’t want to give John any more oxygen or attention and help him sell more books,” a source told the tabloid. Fortunately—for messy voyeurs such as myself—her husband doesn’t mind doing so!
