Kristen Wiig Isn't Laughing Much in the "Hateship Loveship" Trailer

Latest

The trailer for Hateship Love shows us a side of Kristen Wiig fans of Bridesmaids
might not be too familiar with.

Starring Wiig, Guy Pearce, Hailee Steinfeld and Nick Nolte and directed by Liza Johnson, the movie is based on Alice Munro’s “Hateship, Friendship, Courtship, Loveship, Marriage,” a collection of short stories (which also spawned another movie, Away from Her, in 2006). Wiig plays an awkward woman who gets a job working for Nolte as his professional growl assessor. No, actually she’s working as a caretaker for his granddaughterk Sabitha, who is played by Steinfeld. Sabitha and her friend cook up a mean plot to trick Wiig’s character Johanna into thinking Sabitha’s estranged father, played by Pearce, is falling in love with her. Oh dear.

I think the movie looks really good and it doesn’t surprise me to see another Saturday Night Live vet tackling a dramatic role (Will Forte kicked acting ass in Nebraska; please go see it now if you’ve haven’t already).
