THEY FOUND THE RAT—or mouse, at least. (No, not that one.)
As many, many White House reporters tweeted on Tuesday, a mouse fell from the ceiling and into NBC News correspondent Peter Alexander’s lap.

At last word (that I saw), the situation was somewhat under control, and the appropriate authorities had been summoned:
For the White House press corps, it seemed a relief that something—anything— was happening in the briefing room, which hasn’t seen action in months. Not that administration officials were of much help:
