Oh No! Jennifer Garner Is Embarrassed by the Oscars Meme, Wants to 'Punch Her in the Face'

Quick question: have you ever made Jennifer Garner sad? I mean, like, have you ever done something that had a direct—we’re talking causal—relationship to Jennifer Garner becoming sad? Ben Affleck certainly has. As has Scott Foley. Maybe even Bradley Cooper and/or Victor Garber! (Though who’s to say for certain.) The point is that, ugh, I must now add myself to that list of unforgivable men.

And lemme tell you, this sucks. Jennifer Garner does not deserve to be sad! Jennifer Garner deserves to be nothing but exceedingly happy. But thanks to this tweet, in which I posed the dumb question, “What realization did Jennifer Garner just come to,” she is beating herself up. Or, at least she wants to, per a recent interview on Ellen.

When asked about the meme, Garner covered her head in shame and said, “Ughhhhhhhh! I can’t even look at it. I can’t! It’s too embarrassing.”

“What is happening?” asked Ellen.

“What is happening?” Garner said, adding:

“I have no control over this. What am I doing? I started getting texts as you can imagine, people saying, ‘What were you thinking? What was happening?’ And I try really hard not to see myself online but she’s a little unavoidable. But I have no…I mean, I regret, regret, regret…What is wrong with me?!”

“You do look disturbed,” Ellen says.

“I just, I just, I wanna just punch her in the face,” Garner responds. “Not really, I don’t. But, you know.”

I know, Jennifer! And I’m sorry!

The Queen officially consents to Harry and Meghan’s nuptials. Look! Official stationery and everything! This is like asking someone’s parents for their child’s hand in marriage x about a billion.

I love that superstar Irrfan Khan managed to include a drag (complete with winky face) in the otherwise heartbreaking tweet revealing his tumor diagnosis.
