On Tuesday morning, the Twitter account for PETA, the generally unhinged animal rights advocacy group, tweeted the above quote from its president.
The tweet carries the hashtag #StateOfWomen which indicates that President Ingrid Newkirk probably said that quote at the United State of Women summit in Washington, D.C. I cannot find a trace of her presence on the summit’s website.
Now, would we call eating an animal “discrimination”? I would call it more “the food chain”? Although at my last job, they gave a promotion to a man even though both my chicken salad and I were grossly more qualified. 😉
