Watch The Trailer For Topher Grace's 80s Period Piece

Eddie Money’s “Take Me Home Tonight” is an awesome song. Topher Grace‘s new movie of the same name doesn’t look like it does its namesake justice.

The 1988-set period piece (why? Because!) is the story of “an aimless college grad (Grace) who pursues his dream girl (Teresa Palmer) at a wild Labor Day weekend party. He, his twin sister (Anna Faris) and their best friend (Dan Fogler) struggle with their burgeoning adulthood over the course of the night.” In other words, it’s a sort of 80’s-set “I Love You Beth Cooper”/”Can’t Hardly Wait”/”Superbad” mishmash with a dash of Ferris Bueller thrown in for good measure (think car-stealing.) Sympathetic emotionally-arrested guy gets shot at poorly-realized “dream girl,” has to grapple with Adulthood. (And by the way, if you can still qualify as “an aimless college grad” at 32, we’re ahead of the game.) That said, we love Anna Faris, so, on a slow Friday night, who knows what might happen?
