When Is Nicole Kidman’s Religion Coming Out?
Because I need these quotes injected into my veins.

We’ve long known Nicole Kidman is an icon. And when her Vogue cover came out in October, right after news broke that she had filed for divorce from Keith Urban, she was an inspiration. But after hearing about her upbringing, her approach to life, and the fact that she doesn’t need anesthesia (???), I have never been more motivated to emulate this deity.
In an appearance on Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers’s podcast, Las Culturistas, Kidman delivered so many iconic quotes and words of wisdom that I could turn it into a #1 New York Times Bestseller before EOD.
Some highlights include, “Yearning is one of the most underrated states of being.” She also claimed she has never once woken up in a bad mood in her entire life. “I was born that way.” Whatever that is, I need it injected directly into my veins.
She also shared that she has the pain tolerance of a Navy SEAL: “They go, ‘do you want the anesthesia?’ I say, ‘No.’” I believe her. In addition to her heightened pain tolerance, she also has a heightened sense of smell, saying that she is either attracted to or repelled by people based on their smell, and that she “cannot stand bad breath. This is a dealbreaker for me.” So fair.
“If I say, ‘Breathe on me,’ and I have to recoil, yikes, I’m out. You could not offer me enough money.” She also shared an anecdote from the Big Little Lies set, during a kissing scene with Alexander Skarsgård in which he had bad breath after eating falafel: “’I’m meant to be into you and kissing you — put away the falafel now because the bad breath does not turn me on.’” She added that when she lost her sense of smell while sick with covid, she was “finally free.” If someone told me she had magical powers, I would believe it.
Kidman’s currently doing press for her Prime thriller series, Scarpetta, and in another interview with Variety published on Wednesday, she spoke about her new chapter for the first time since filing for divorce, “I’m always going to be moving toward what’s good. What I’m grateful for is my family and keeping them as is and moving forward.” She continued, “That’s that. Everything else I don’t discuss out of respect.” Classy.
Once again, Kidman proves that she may be our best celebrity. I’m more than eager to see her this May as a Met Gala co-chair alongside Beyoncé. But more importantly… Big Little Lies Season 3 is happening!!! When it finally returns, I fear I’ll have no choice but to start a religion in her divine teachings.
