WarnerMedia, one of the roughly four billion new streaming services currently in the works, has announced its first anthology series, Love Life, starring Anna Kendrick and produced by Paul Feig.

The show will be a 10-episode, half-hour long romantic comedy. Kendrick will executive produce, along with Feig, who recently directed her in A Simple Favor. According to Deadline, the show will be “about the journey from first love to last love, and how the people we’re with along the way make us into who we are when we finally end up with someone forever.”

That sounds pretty good, but as studios pull classics like Friends from platforms in an effort to manipulate users to pony up for still more streaming services, it might be difficult for even charming rom-com leads like Kendrick to make any one service stand out from all the others.

Still, you gotta admire her commitment to these off-the-beaten-path projects. She’s also set to star in and executive produce Dummy for a short-form video platform called Quibi and will star in a Facebook Watch show with Zac Efron.

In the future, streaming services will all morph into one big digital vending machine whereby we select two celebrities and a genre, then have a customized program holographed into our living rooms. I’m looking forward to building my own cozy featuring Dame Maggie Smith and Sir Ian McKellen so that I’ll no longer need to try any other shows.
