Woman, Injured During Motel Sex During Business Travel, Sues Employer

An Australian public servant is suing her employer because a light fixture in her motel fell on her during a business trip. The government contends that this doesn’t count because she happened to be having sex during the accident.

Said her lawyer, “This is no different than slipping over in the shower or being bashed by a gang of thugs after a dispute over a woman.” But the government’s workplace safety body argued that sex “was not an ordinary incident of an overnight stay like showering, sleeping or eating.”
