16-Year-Old Girl Becomes Youngest Person To Ski South Pole

Teens continue to put the rest of us to shame for our Netflix watching, internet browsing ways: 16-year-old Amelia Hempleman-Adams has returned home to England after becoming the youngest person to ski the South Pole. Hempleman-Adams and her explorer father traveled 97 miles and spent 17 nights in Antarctica. Temperatures got as low as -58 degrees Fahrenheit, and Hempleman-Adams adds, “The biggest challenges were the freezing cold, dried food, pulling frozen poo in a sledge, Dad’s snoring.” It should make for one hell of a college admissions essay (especially the frozen poo bit).
