English actor Charlotte Rampling, who has appeared in films like Georgy Girl, Stardust Memories, Angel Heart, The Night Porter, The Wings of the Dove, and Swimming Pool, is looking impeccable in the fall 2014 campaign for Nars lipstick.

WWD reports that the ad is part of the brand’s 20th anniversary campaign, and the portrait was taken by François Nars himself. The image is beautiful, no question, but is it weird to use a black and white photo for vivid lipcolor?

In any case, as Fashionista points out, Rampling is not the only lady over 60 with a cosmetics campaign right now: Jessica Lange is the face of Marc Jacobs Beauty. When it comes to shilling products to women, it’s about time (not to mention refreshing) we saw women — aged, experienced, wise women — and not the same gaggle of supermodel girls.
