A retired deaf hunting dog returned home after nine months lost in the Idaho mountains, and Good Morning America caught wind of the story, God bless their hearts.
As the Idaho Statesman reports, Mo the Miracle Dog had wandered off to find her owner on a fall camping trip, to get lost in the woods throughout a particularly brutal winter with record snowfalls and freezing cold temperatures. Her owners Darwin and Cindy Cameron stayed in the area to find her for three months before going home.
But thanks to Facebook, a kindly dog rescuer, and magic, they were reunited. After found collapsed by the side of the road covered in fleas and ticks, Mo was brought to Cheri Glankler, a veteran dog rescuer who nursed her back to health and tirelessly tracked down the Camerons. Though traumatized and emaciated, Mo was identified because of her love of chasing squirrels.
She is now deservedly known as “The Legend.”
