WTF: Somebody apparently returned this cutie to a high-kill animal shelter because she farted too much.
That’s according to the Huffington Post (via Daily Mail). Misty appeared on Greenville County Pet Rescue’s “urgent” list, meaning she was in danger of euthanization if she wasn’t readopted. The Facebook post noted that she was spayed, friendly, good with other pets and less than a year old, but a “returned adoption- passes too much gas” and “out of time.”
Luckily, someone stepped forward: “We are still evaluating her and have a foster for her,” said shelter spokesperson Susan Bufano. “We anticipate finding her a home.” Of course, many dogs aren’t as lucky as Misty, so consider this your regular reminder that shelter pets are great. Even farting shelter pets. Maybe especially farting shelter pets?
