Mullins, whose legs were amputated below the knee when she was just 1 year old, is known for competing against able-bodied athletes as an NCAA Division I track and field athlete at Georgetown, setting three world records at the Paralympic Games in 1996, walking Alexander McQueen’s runway on a pair of hand-carved wooden prosthetic legs, and telling awesome stories at the Moth.
