Alicia Vikander Got Ripped for the New Tomb Raider 

Alicia Vikander worked out hard to play Lara Croft: she looks like she has the upper body strength to crawl out of a collapsing cave, then swim miles to an off-the-map island. Vikander actually told Elle in an interview for their September issue that preparing for this movie completely changed her body:

“I’ve never done action scenes on this level – not even close. It feels like I’m back to dancing – the training, the intensity. You need to be aware of your movement up in the wires and how your body works. I’ve never been able to lift my own weight, and the day when you have that capacity, it’s pretty empowering!”

Sign me up! The look of the movie is also a pretty great recreation of the video games’ lush look, and there’s no need to be skeptical about Vikander/Croft’s ability to survive a 25 foot drop into a roaring river. She’s trained for this.
